We look forward to being able to guide, support and empower you through this important process of personal/career exploration and planning as you work towards gaining clarity, confidence, contentment and balance within your life and career.
This terms and conditions Service Agreement outlines our company’s policies. If you have any reservations or questions, you are welcome to discuss them with your career consultant.
Unenforceability
If any provision or provisions of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
Confidentiality
The client agrees not to disclose to any third party the terms of this Agreement and any other information provided by Careerlinko or designated as confidential (“Confidential Information”) and also agrees not to use any Confidential Information of Careerlinko or any other information, whether it is marked confidential or not, as expressly permitted under this Agreement or except with the prior written consent of Careerlinko. The Client agrees to exercise the highest degree of care in safeguarding any information or any of the Confidential Information of the other party against loss or other inadvertent disclosure.
Guarantee of results
Any career consultant at Careerlinko does not guarantee employment or job search success, as the work done together is part of the career development process. All information provided by the client is not independently verified including employment history, skills or education or any other related information.
Assignment of Warranty and Disclaimer
Careerlinko makes no representation or warranty regarding its service and the service is furnished to client “as is.” Careerlinko specifically excludes and disclaims all warranties or representations concerning the services covered by this agreement, including in particular any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty of noninfringement of a third party’s intellectual property rights with respect to the service.
Limitation of Liabilities
Careerlinko is a professional resume writing and career development firm, not a computer instructor. Due to the varying nature of computer word processing software and the page alterations that can take place from computer to computer, based on printer and computer recognition, we cannot guarantee that your documents will appear perfectly on every computer screen. While we take every step to ensure your satisfaction, some issues are beyond our control and require you to make adjustments on your end.
In no event will Careerlinko be liable to client or to any third party for incidental, indirect, exemplary, special or consequential damages, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of or otherwise relating to the services or the use or performance of the service, even if Careerlinko has been advised of the possibility or likelihood of such damages. Without limiting the foregoing, in no event shall the liability of Careerlinko to client for any claim whatsoever related to the service or the services or any order or this agreement, including without limitation, any cause of action sounding in contract, tort or strict liability, exceed the purchase price received by Careerlinko.
LinkedIn makes changes on an ongoing basis, and we regularly receive current information through our professional associations and other industry sources. At any time, we cannot guarantee that either writing or coaching will cover any future changes that LinkedIn makes. Fees for additional work regarding LinkedIn may be required. You are responsible for all changes published in your LinkedIn profile.
Document Proofing & Acceptance
Careerlinko agrees to make changes to documents and correct errors and/or mis-interpretation of data as part of the resume and supplemental document development. The client is solely responsible for proofing and acceptance. All changes must be made within 30 days of receiving first draft. Satisfaction is assumed upon acceptance of documents. Client decision to address a new employment target not discussed in the initial purchase agreement will result in additional fees. After acceptance of a final draft, any changes will incur a new fee.
Refund Policy
Due to the agreement of Careerlinko to fine-tune documents to client satisfaction, refunds are not available. No guarantee is made regarding the ability of the documents to result in interviews or job offers due to Careerlinko’ inability to determine how documents will actually be used.
Missed Appointments
Any missed appointment will result in a $50.00 rescheduling fee. Rescheduling of appointments less than 72 hours prior to appointment time may require a rescheduling delay of up to 7 days due to client volume. In the case of multiple cancellations or no-shows, Careerlinko reserves the right to refuse further appointments. In such cases, further resume work will be handled via e-mail only.
Copyright Policy
All materials produced by Careerlinko are copyrighted. The United States Intellectual Copyright Law (USICL) provides that the creator may enter into a licensing agreement that allows the work to be copied. Upon payment in full, the client is authorized to reproduce documents within the limits of the USICL. Partial payment, stop payment or any similar action by the client revokes the agreement to copy said documents, whereupon, reproduction is unlawful and subject to prosecution. Complete payment of the predefined career services is required to start work as all documents are custom prepared for each client. Until balance is paid in full, documents remain the property of Careerlinko and will not be forwarded in any form. Failure to pay balance waives any and all client rights to the documents and will result in prosecution under the law to collect the debt.
Professional Use Policy
We are very proud of the work we do with every client and the amazing resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile optimization documents we create together. We completely fictionalize the documents and submit them to these professional competitions. We can promise that no identifying information about any client, their work, or what they accomplished will be recognizable as we change name, contact information, company names, school names, and any metrics included in the resumes. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Careerlinko, you are also expressly giving us permission to use the documents we create/created for you only for professional resume writing competitions, resume book submissions or any other similar professional-level submissions.
